A high school reunion is attended with revenge in mind. A group of young people decides to party and camp out in a ghost town. A bloody stranger pounds on the door of an isolated cabin late at night. A gunman stalks a woman after she asks her husband for a divorce. These are just four of the 12 stories in Danger Crossed Moments. Vickie Britton and Loretta Jackson have written a fine group of short stories in which each main character is faced with making a decision. The premise of the book is that each person at some point in life must make a decision in the time of crisis that ultimately affects the outcome of the crisis. Each story contains unexpected twists and turns that make for surprising and/or unusual endings. Frequently I found myself expecting a particular ending to a story ending only to find that I had guessed incorrectly. Vickie Britton and Loretta Jackson are talented writers who are able to spin tales that will in some cases keep you on the edge of your seat and at other times make you breathe a sigh of relief. Their stories remind me of style of Alfred Hitchcock, stories that never quite turn out how you expect. I look forward to future stories by this talented team. |

The clock is ticking; time is of the essence. A split-second decision means the difference between life or death...
Danger-Crossed Moments is a macabre collection of eleven short stories,
each with either a touch of the supernatural, or murder and mayhem.
Vickie Britton and Loretta Jackson, sisters who co-author, have put
together an awesome collection of short stories. While reading, I felt as
if I were being held in a mind puzzle. Is it him? Is it her? Who the heck
do you believe? I wanted to yell, "No! Don't trust him!" or "Run! He's
the murderer!" I never knew who was going to turn out to be the killer.
All the short stoires are cleverly written by this duo. My only
complaint is that I didn't want them to end!
